Before you create a client record in WellSky, the system requires you to search the system to make sure the client doesn't already exist. This is why the Add New Client With this Information button is not clickable at first.
Search tips
- You can search by any of the fields that are not italicized. Use the client's Date of Birth or SSN if you have it
- Try searching for just a few letters of the first and last name. This broadens your search and will show you client records with similar names
- If the client has two last names, search for one and if not found, search for the other last name
- You can sort by any of the columns in the search results. Click on Social Security Number, Date of Birth, etc to sort by one of those fields and find the client more easily.
If the client is not found in any of these searches, you can create a new client. Please be sure to fill out the rest of the fields in this section including the Data Quality questions before clicking Add New Client With This Information
You will then be prompted to create a household for the client.
For a single individual, click Add Client Only.
For a client in a household that does not already exist in WellSky, click Add Client and Add NEW Household.
For a client in a household that already exists, click Add Client and SEARCH Households.
You may be prompted to select the Household Type. This question is different from the Household Type question in entry assessments. All households should be marked as HH Members (Add but Don't Remove). See Households Tab for more information.
