Have you ever wondered if you have been entering the HMIS information correctly? If you are a seasoned users before January 2025 (!) you did not have a chance to try this out. This quick interactive practice will check the basics for both Clients module users and Shelters module users.


Attention Agency Admin!

Have everyone on your staff try this one out! This interactive training is new starting January 2025, so most users will not have completed this training.

Do you know how to delete an accidental exit?


Clients Module:

If you use the Clients module to enter and exit clients, and accidentally add an exit to the wrong project, here is where it can be deleted:

 

1) From the Entry/Exit tab, click on the pencil icon next to the Exit Date.


2) Click on the trash can icon next to the Edit Exit Data title. *Make sure you complete this for each client in the household.

Shelters Module:

If you use the Shelters module to enter and exit clients, and accidentally add an exit to the wrong project, here is where it can be fixed:

 

1) From the Clients module, click on the Service Transactions tab, then the Shelter Stays tab/tile. Click on the magnifying glass icon.


2) Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the Edit Shelter Stay button on the bottom left. 


3) Click on the Service Transactions tab, the Shelters Stay tab, and then the pencil icon next to the stay. 


4) Erase the Date Out, which can be done by clicking on the circle button next to the date. Click Save. 


5) Click on the Entry/Exit tab at the top. Then click on the pencil icon next to the Exit Date. 


6) Click on the trash can icon next to the Edit Exit Data title. *Make sure you complete this for each client in the household.

I just spent $300 on a limo and learned it doesn't come with a driver. I can't believe I have nothing to chauffer it.
