TABLE OF CONTENTS
Any custom reports that have been created by the county will be located in SAP Business Objects. All agency admins have licenses, and a license can be given to other users who need to access these reports. To request access, please have your agency admin contact the Help Desk.
Accessing BusinessObjects (previously known as ART)
To access BusinessObjects, click on the Connect to BusinessObjects link in the top right corner of your screen.
SAP BusinessObjects should open a new tab. If nothing changes on your screen or you see a note that says "processing", please check your browser settings and make sure that pop-ups are enabled for this site.
If you have already followed New ART Settings (SAP BusinessObjects) guide, you should be taken right to the lanecounty_live_folder where all reports are stored. If you haven't adjusted your settings, click on Folders → Public Folders → lanecounty_live_folder.
Running Reports
The reports are still in the same sub-folders and have the same prompts that they did in the old version of ART. Once you have identified the report you want to run, click on the name of the report to run it in the browser (View Report in old ART) or click on the three dots next to the report and click Schedule to schedule it. See more detailed instructions on each option below.
View Report
Once you have clicked on the title of the report, it will start to load. This process may take a few minutes depending on the size of the report. The Report Prompts will then appear (see more detailed Report Prompts instructions in the section below)
Scheduling Reports
Click the 3 dots and then Schedule to the right side of the report title to schedule a report. You will be able to click back and forth between the two prompt pages until you are ready to click the Schedule button in the bottom right corner. Please make sure all prompts are filled out before you hit schedule. This system will not warn you that prompts were left incomplete.
General Prompt Page
- Title - OPTIONAL - change this if you would like to rename your report
- Destinations - OPTIONAL - click Add and select BI Inbox if you also want this report to come to your Inbox
- Recurrence - this defaults to Now. You will need to change this if you want to schedule this to arrive in the future or to arrive multiple times. This will tell you when you will receive the report, not what is in it.
- Events - LEAVE BLANK
- Scheduling Server Group - LEAVE BLANK
- Notification - LEAVE BLANK
Report Features Prompt Page
- Formats - leave as Web Intelligence if you prefer to look at your report in the browser (this has the same functionality as View Report). Change to Microsoft Excel if you will only be using this report in Excel.
- Prompts - click Edit Prompt Values to access the prompts. These are the same prompts that you filled out in the older version of ART. These prompts may take a few minutes to load, this is a bug that will be resolved soon. See more detailed Report Prompts instructions in the section below. The dates (if any) you enter in these prompts will affect what data appears in your report.
- Delivery Rules - LEAVE BLANK
Report Prompts
Provider (Project)
Remember to NEVER fill out the EDA Provider! When you click on Select Provider, you may not have any results come up. Click the Refresh arrow and then the providers should appear.
You can use the search button at the top or scroll until you find the project you are looking for. If the report allows for multiple providers, it will let you check the box next to more than one project.
Date
The date can be entered manually in the bar at the top - just type the date in and hit enter. You can also click on the calendar icon (this will default to today) and select the correct date.
Other Report Prompts
Your report may have another prompt, like Include Services. When you click on the prompt, it may also show you another "back end" label for the prompt. You can ignore this and only need to look at the original prompt question.
